The clinical standard doesn't move. Not by case. Not by shift. Not by circumstance.
These principles guide every clinical decision, every shift, and every conversation.
Common Questions
What does Classic City Home Care do?
Classic City Home Care delivers skilled nursing and personal care support for children with complex medical needs. We are enrolled in Georgia's Pediatric Program and accepted under Katie Beckett.
What is the minimum number of hours per visit?
Private duty nursing is delivered in extended shifts — typically four to twelve hours — based on your child's authorized care plan. Personal care support hours are authorized separately.
What if our nurse is sick or unavailable?
We maintain backup coverage for every active patient. If a scheduled nurse cannot make a shift, our clinical team arranges a qualified replacement and communicates with your family directly.
Can we meet the nurse before care begins?
Yes. Every nurse is introduced to the family before their first shift. We do not send unfamiliar staff into your home without a prior introduction.
Are you licensed and enrolled in Medicaid?
Classic City Home Care is enrolled in Georgia's Pediatric Program. For eligible families, skilled nursing may be covered at no out-of-pocket cost.
What makes Classic City Home Care different?
We are a pediatric-only skilled nursing agency led by a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Every nurse is matched to your child specifically, trained to their protocols, and supervised by our clinical director throughout their time in our care.
Can you help with the transition from hospital to home?
Yes. We work closely with hospital discharge teams to coordinate care before your child comes home. Our clinical team manages enrollment, authorization, and nurse matching so the transition is as smooth as possible.
Do you offer long-term and short-term care?
We support both. Some families need ongoing skilled nursing for years. Others need transitional support after a hospital stay while longer-term arrangements are established. We work with families in both situations.
How do you ensure clinical quality and safety?
Every nurse undergoes a comprehensive background check through Georgia's system, clinical competency verification, and patient-specific protocol training before their first shift. Our Clinical Nurse Specialist maintains active oversight of every patient.
What if we need to adjust the schedule?
Care plans and schedules are adjusted as your child's needs change. Contact our clinical team and we will work with you to make the adjustment.
How do you match nurses to patients?
We match based on clinical competency first - your child's diagnosis, acuity, equipment, and protocols. We also consider your family's preferences and daily rhythms. Every nurse meets the family before their first shift.
How quickly can care start?
Timeline depends on your child's enrollment status. For families already enrolled in GAPP, care can begin once prior authorization is approved. For new families, our clinical team begins the enrollment process immediately and will give you a realistic timeline on the first call.
What areas do you serve?
We serve families across Georgia. Our coverage area follows the clinical relationships of our team. Contact us and we will confirm whether we can serve your family's location.
Do you serve children only?
Our primary focus is medically complex children. We maintain a limited adult caseload accepted by direct referral on a private pay basis.
What types of skilled nursing do you provide?
Our RNs and LPNs provide private duty nursing for children with complex medical needs - including ventilator management, tracheostomy care, G-tube and enteral feeding management, seizure monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, and physician-ordered skilled nursing procedures.
Who are your nurses?
Every RN and LPN is licensed in good standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing, background-checked through GCHexs, and trained to each individual patient's care plan before the first shift. We hire for clinical competency and character.
